Project summary
This private homeowner laid 52m² of SpeeTherm15 in their living room and kitchen, finishing it with Jumpax Basic and a PVC floor.
In what type of home did you install your heating system?
A long-front farmhouse from the 1930s.
How many people are in your household?
Four.
How did you come across WARP Systems?
Via TV home-improvement programs.
Why did you choose a low-temperature hydronic heating and cooling system?
To have the flexibility to switch to a heat pump in the future.
Do you think sustainability is important? Why or why not?
Definitely—both for environmental reasons and cost savings.
Do you have specific sustainability goals for the future?
Eventually to install a heat pump and underfloor heating in other rooms.
What convinced you to choose self-installation?
I had previously installed underfloor heating in my last home and I love managing the planning and installation myself.
How did you experience the installation overall?
It’s clearly very well thought-out and brilliantly engineered. Everything you need is included or available to order and I highly recommend ordering anything you don’t already have.
Which aspects were easier than expected?
Laying the tubing, especially the sharp bends, was much easier than I thought. The tubing is so high quality that kinking is almost impossible.
Which aspects required extra effort?
Cutting the aluminum profiles was a breeze, but visualizing and keeping track of where all the bends should go was sometimes challenging. Everything looked correct on paper, but when I unrolled the tubing I quickly realized I’d misplaced an intersection.
Did you use the installation tools and instruction videos? If so, how helpful were they?
I used the manual, the instruction cards and watched two YouTube videos beforehand. I definitely recommend watching the videos first—seeing the process in action makes everything come to life much faster.
